My Song

“My Song” is my first EP, my first time releasing my own music into the world. The EP explores the people, relationships, and moments that I value most in life.

The first song on the EP, “God’s Love” was written by me in February 2024. It tells a small part of my testimony while giving praise to God for bringing me through anything. It goes through the things that I have struggled with and then tells how God has turned those things around. It is a simple yet meaningful song and story. It is truly an expression of my admiration and praise to Him.

The second song on the EP is “My Heart Belongs.” I wrote it at my childhood home in the Summer of 2024. I wrote it about the memories I think of and feelings that go along with moving away from family. I remember sitting in one of the bedrooms of our house, looking out the window thinking of my home and all the people that have made my childhood and my overall life so special. This one is one of the most special songs to me and includes some voicemails from my mom and grandmothers.

The third song on the EP is “One For Me.” This song has a different sound than the others but is still just as meaningful. I wrote it in February 2025 about my long-term boyfriend. This is a song of love, gratitude, and romantic feelings. This is definitely the more pop love song of the album. This one also includes a voicemail from my boyfriend, making it mean so much more to me.

The fourth and final song on the EP is called, “Sweet Lili.” I wrote this in my college bedroom in early 2025. I wrote this about my best friend/roommate. This song will make anyone want to get up and dance as it’s the more upbeat, dance-like song on the EP. This song tells the story of my best friend and I and our journey through college and life. It is also a song of gratitude and admiration for her. She is the background singer for this one, singing harmonies on a song about herself.

Overall, this EP carries meaningful stories about special people and moments in my life. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share this music with the world and can’t wait to see where it goes!
